These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Opti LLC (“Opti,” “we,” “us”) for the Opti application at app.joinopti.com (the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in (including with Google or Facebook via Wix), linking cards, paying for a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a contract in the United States. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use of your own cards (or cards you are authorized to view). Contact: support@joinopti.com.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Opti is software that scores linked credit-card spend and credits against our catalog. After you link cards through Plaid, Opti imports transactions, assigns spend categories, estimates rewards, tracks credits we can model, and may suggest a next card based on those estimates.
Opti is not a bank, issuer, broker, or investment adviser. We do not issue cards, extend credit, process card payments, or move money. Results are estimates. You remain responsible for which card you use and for your issuer’s rules. A demo snapshot, if offered, is sample data and is not saved.
Keep your login confidential. Notify us at support@joinopti.com if you believe it was accessed without permission. Signup may be invite-only. We may refuse, suspend, or close an account that violates these Terms.
Where Wix membership or billing is enabled, Wix’s terms also apply to login and payment. Password and some profile changes may be managed on Wix rather than inside Opti. Subscriptions renew until you cancel through Wix. Deleting your Opti account does not automatically cancel Wix billing or refund a prepaid period.
We may change prices or plans with notice through the Service or email.
Core features require connecting accounts through Plaid. Plaid’s terms apply. Opti never receives your bank password. You must have the right to link each institution. We currently allow up to five bank connections per Opti account. Sync can be delayed or incomplete. You authorize us to use stored Plaid access tokens (encrypted in production) only to provide the Service to you, including scheduled sync and webhooks.
Catalog data may be incomplete or dated. “Best card,” lost value, Next Card estimates, and credit tracking are tools, not guarantees.
You agree not to probe or overload the Service, access another user’s data, bypass authentication or paywalls, or submit bank passwords in bug reports. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.
You retain rights to information that originates with you (for example messages in a bug report). You grant Opti a license to use that information to operate and improve the Service. If you give us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
The Service, including software, catalog, copy, and trademarks, is owned by Opti or its licensors.
You may delete your account in My Account. We revoke Plaid connections Opti stored and delete live Opti data. If you do not log in or use the Service for 12 months, we may delete that live data automatically. Backups at our database host may retain residual copies until they expire. Administrator and demo accounts are not auto-deleted under the 12-month rule. Deleting Opti does not cancel Wix.
We aim to keep Opti available but do not guarantee uptime. Plaid, your bank, our database host, and our billing provider can fail or change their APIs. Features may change.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPTI DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT POINTS, CREDITS, OR CARD SUGGESTIONS ARE ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPTI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR LOST REWARDS. OPTI’S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO OPTI FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE STATES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED.
You will indemnify Opti from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your linked accounts, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
Illinois law governs these Terms. Disputes go to courts in Illinois except where prohibited. Email support@joinopti.com before filing a claim. We may update these Terms; continued use after a posted change is acceptance.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by a provider (including Plaid), or if we shut down the Service.
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Opti for the Service, along with the Privacy Policy and any checkout terms for a paid plan.
